The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after a Russian drone fell on a block of flats in Galati: A serious and irresponsible escalation on the part of Russia. I informed NATO

Romania asked NATO “measures to accelerate the transfer of anti-drone capabilities” in our country, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The reaction comes after a Russian drone crashed, Thursday night, on a block in the city of Galati.
“A drone involved in the bombing of some infrastructures in Ukraine crashed in Romania, in Galața, causing a fire on the roof of an apartment block. Two people were slightly injured, and the building was evacuated. Airplanes and a helicopter belonging to the MApN were lifted from the ground at the moment the Russian drones appeared on the radar. This incident represents a serious and irresponsible act of recklessness on the part of the Russian Federation,” says the MFA.
The institution says that Romania will take the necessary diplomatic measures to respond to this serious violation of international law and its airspace.
“Romania informed the allies and the Secretary General of NATO about the circumstances and requested measures to accelerate the transfer of anti-drone capabilities to Romania.
The Russian Federation continues to be an aggressor state waging an illegal war with serious implications for regional security and the safety of citizens. The Russian Federation bears direct responsibility for these serious and irresponsible actions. Romania will act with maximum firmness to increase international pressure on the Russian Federation for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire”, adds the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
