Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov at the Black Sea Security Forum on May 29 named three key targets of the defense forces for attacks on the territory of the aggressor country, Russia. The forum was broadcast on YouTube.
According to Yusov, all three goals are focused on reducing the Russians' ability to strike Ukrainian territory and kill civilians.
“I will not reveal all of our immediate goals and plans. But our priorities always concern three components. The first component is the processes of producing weapons that kill our people and destroys cities. The second is something that strengthens mobilization and recruiting processes on the territory of the Russian Federation. And the third is everything that works to finance the Russian-Ukrainian war,” Yusov said.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate also added that modern warfare requires rapid changes and adaptation, and the survival of both Ukraine and the whole of Europe depends on this.
“We need to quickly adapt and change. The question of survival depends on this. But not only Ukraine, but also Europe must change. The Russians started this invasion according to old patterns and models. We survived because we learned to respond asymmetrically,” Yusov explained.
