The XXXI International Exhibition and Forum ARCH MOSCOW has begun its work in Moscow – one of the main events in the field of architecture, urban planning, development and design in Russia. The exhibition takes place from May 27 to May 30 in Gostiny Dvor under the patronage of the Moscow Government and the Department of Urban Development Policy of the capital.
ARCH MOSCOW is not just a professional exhibition, but the largest platform for discussing the future of Russian cities, architectural trends, new approaches to construction and development of the urban environment. Every year the forum brings together architects, developers, urban planners, designers, government officials, specialized universities and manufacturers of building materials.
In 2026, the theme of the exhibition is formulated as “Ideal”. The project was curated by architect Timur Bashkaev, who invited industry participants to answer the question: what could an ideal city, an ideal public space, an ideal residential building and ideal architecture in general look like today.
As the organizers note, architecture has always been a reflection of the ideals of its time – from great historical styles to modern metropolises. That is why the central theme of the forum was understanding what the image of the city of the future looks like and what solutions can bring it closer to reality.
This year, more than 200 organizations are taking part in ARCH MOSCOW – architectural bureaus, development companies, government institutions, specialized educational institutions, manufacturers and distributors of materials. The forum will include more than 200 business program events at eight discussion platforms.
One of the key special projects was the exhibition “Ideal Moscow”, organized by the Department of Urban Development Policy of Moscow together with the architectural bureau Steel. The project demonstrates how the city sees itself developing in the coming decades: from new educational spaces and transport infrastructure to community centers and residential environments.
Special attention of visitors is attracted by the project of the exhibition curator Timur Bashkaev “Ideal City”. The exhibition presents the concept of “Moscow 2.0” – a model of the metropolis of the future, in which special attention is paid to the quality of life, the development of the natural complex, public spaces and the transport system.
The forum also features expositions of the country's leading architectural bureaus, international projects, studies of modern urbanism, youth architectural competitions and educational initiatives. Among the most notable areas are the NEXT project for young architects, the Futurator pavilion dedicated to the architecture of the future, as well as research exhibitions on the impact of architecture on the urban landscape.
Traditionally, the business program remains an important part of ARCH MOSCOW. Over the course of four days, the site will host lectures, master classes, discussions and workshops on issues of affordable housing, development of megacities, transport infrastructure, preservation of cultural heritage and the introduction of new technologies in architecture and construction.
The ARCH MOSCOW 2026 exhibition is open to the public until May 30 in Gostiny Dvor.
