Teams of army and police specialists secured the area during the investigations in the area of ​​the block where the Russian drone crashed, inside the building, but also on the roof of the building.

Road traffic in the area was blocked shortly after the Geran 2 unmanned aerial vehicle, of Russian origin, according to MApN, crashed and exploded on the roof of the 10-story building on Brăilei Street in Galați.

After about 10 hours, traffic returned to normal, on the section between the intersections with Roșiori and Traian streets in the city, according to IPJ Galați, quoted by the local publication Viața Liberă.

All morning, forensic experts took pictures of the affected block and on the roof of the building, collected evidence in special bags, according to images provided by Inquam Photos.

The balcony of an apartment on the top floor of the apartment block was damaged, pieces of plaster and from the windows falling in front of the building.

Satellite images from Google Maps show that the drone has reached an area with blocks, which is approximately 14 km from the nearest Ukrainian border, more precisely from the place where the borders of Ukraine, Romania and the Republic of Moldova meet.

Two people, a woman and her 14-year-old son who live on the top floor, were injured after the exploding drone damaged the two-room apartment, blowing a hole in the roof of the reinforced concrete home.

70 people were evacuated from the block where the drone fell and exploded. The gas was also turned off by the distributor to avoid a possible further deflagration.

According to the mayor of Galați, the two people were in the bedroom at the time of the impact, and according to the images broadcast by the local press, the most seriously affected area of ​​the apartment was the hall, where the iron from the building's construction was bent by the detonation of the explosive. The elevator house was also heavily damaged.

Prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Galati Court of Appeal have opened a criminal case after the drone explosion on the block in the center of the city of Galati.
