NATO, the first reaction after a drone crashed on the block in Galati. “We condemn Russia's imprudence”

The spokesperson of NATO, Allison Hart, said on Friday, after a drone exploded on a block in the center of Galaţi, that the Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, is in contact with the Romanian authorities.

“This morning, a block in Romania was hit by a drone, while Russia attacked Ukraine's infrastructure near the border. The NATO General Secretariat is in contact with the Romanian authorities. We condemn Russia's recklessness, and NATO will continue to strengthen our defense against all threats, including drones,” HArt wrote on X.

The interim Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, said on Friday that the authorities are now certain that it was a Russian drone that exploded in Galati, according to News.ro.

The head of Romanian diplomacy also said that it is an incident of major gravity and the president will make an announcement during the day today.
