Sentence for the wife of a famous businessman from Warsaw. It was a murder order

The attack on the businessman – a well-known manager in the media industry – took place in May 2023. 61-year-old Piotr G. was attacked near the Politechnika Square in Warsaw. He was accompanied by a security guard at the time, but the perpetrator nevertheless ran up to him and suddenly attacked him from behind with a knife. Shortly thereafter, a British man was detained for ordering the murder. The police detained several people, including the businessman's ex-wife. As it turned out, she played a key role in the attempt on her ex-husband's life.

10 years in prison for the wife of a famous businessman
The conflict between G.'s spouses had already been going on for several years. They were divorced but had disputes over property and custody of their children. At some point – according to the prosecutor's findings – Aleksandra G. decided that the only way out of the situation would be to get rid of her former spouse. The investigation revealed how she attempted to do this.
According to “Gazeta Wyborcza”, the woman first tried to order the murder of a gangster. However, he wanted too much for it, so she decided to trust a British friend. It was he who stabbed Piotr G. in the center of Warsaw. And he was the first to get caught by the police.

On May 28, the District Court in Warsaw announced a verdict for five people connected with the attempted murder of a businessman. As “Wyborcza” found out, Aleksandra G. was sentenced to 10 years in prison for inciting murder. A Briton who attacked a man with a knife received 8 years. Piotr K. – Aleksandra's partner – was sentenced to 5 years. Piotr K.'s son and the woman who helped hide the perpetrator were also sentenced.
Piotr G., who survived the attack and was in the courtroom when the verdict was announced, refused to comment to “Wyborcza”. The prosecutor announced an appeal because the verdict is not final.
