Krasnoyarsk athletes were presented with unlimited ski passes at the Bobrovy Log Funpark

On May 26, at the Bobrovy Log Funpark in Krasnoyarsk, lifelong unlimited ski passes were awarded to outstanding Krasnoyarsk athletes and their coaches. The initiative was timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the ski complex.

Unlimited passes to Funpark were given to winners of the Olympic and Paralympic Games of previous years, who were born in the region or who represented the region in competitions. Among them are lugers Vladislav Antonov and Alexander Denisyev, snowboarders Viktor Wild, Alena Zavarzina and Nikolai Olyunin, biathletes Olga Medvedtseva and Evgeny Ustyugov, skeletonists Nikita Tregubov and Alexander Tretyakov, and alpine skier Alexey Bugaev.

The ski passes were presented to the athletes by the general director of the Bobrovy Log Funpark, Valery Ilyichev. He said that the idea for the project appeared after the successful performance of Russian athletes at international competitions.

“After the last Olympics, we were inspired by the victories of our athletes, who, despite the restrictions, continued to represent the country with honor and show strength of spirit. We decided that Olympians and Paralympians should be celebrated and respected in a special way. Moreover, this year Funpark turns 20, and we have timed the presentation of lifetime ski passes to coincide with this date,” Ilyichev noted.

He added that athletes will be able to use the cable cars all year round:

“In the summer, Olympians will be able to come here for a walk, enjoy the Krasnoyarsk nature and the routes to the Stolby, and in the winter they can ride on the slopes and stay in shape. The more physically trained athletes and a physically trained population we have, the stronger the country will be,” emphasized the general director of Bobrovoy Log.

Paralympic champion Alexey Bugaev said that Krasnoyarsk skiers and snowboarders actively use the slopes in Bobrovy Log and Nikolaevskaya Sopka for training between training camps.

“We often train on these slopes because the conditions here are good for technical disciplines. Of course, the length of the tracks is not enough for downhill, but everything is perfect for slalom and giant slalom,” said Bugaev.

The athlete thanked the Funpark management for the unlimited lifetime ski pass and noted that the gift came in very handy:

“The ski pass is a very nice gift. I was just planning to put my daughter on skis this year, so now we can come skiing with the whole family,” said the Paralympian.

The new Funpark initiative became not only a gift for famous athletes, but also a symbol of recognition of their contribution to the development of sports in Krasnoyarsk and the region. “Beaver Log” hopes that the example of Olympians and Paralympians will help attract even more residents of the region to an active lifestyle and winter sports.
