Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory held a visiting meeting in Divnogorsk on issues of health protection and social policy. It discussed the role of local governments in the formation of family-centricity.

Deputies visited the Divnogorsky branch of the Center for Family and Children in the village of Mansky. The branch recently opened after a major renovation and landscaping as part of the Family Help brand. More than 67 million rubles were spent on this. The branch has become a center of attraction for families with children living in the village: monthly “family Saturdays” are held with events of various types. Residents of the village are welcome to attend classes in the branch’s physical education and sports clubs and creative events. At the request of families, plans include a short-term childcare service.

The delegation also visited the Divnogorsky integrated social service center for the population. For more than 20 years, he has been providing social assistance to residents of Divnogorsk of all ages. The institution has five departments where more than 25 social technologies and practices are implemented.

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the relevant committee of the regional parliament Ilya Zaitsev, Alexander Novikov, Ekaterina Udelko, Alexander Ratakhin, Minister of Social Policy Irina Pastukhova, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Krasnoyarsk Territory Irina Miroshnikova and more than 100 representatives of local government from all over the region.

Supporting families and increasing the birth rate remain key tasks for all government bodies. The Demographic Standard of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is currently being developed, the discussion of which includes public councils under the ministries of the region. Among the industry initiatives that the regional Minister of Social Policy Irina Pastukhova spoke about: the establishment of the “Dynasty” sign for family professional dynasties, the approval of a special taxi tariff for large families, the possibility of remote work for parents in unfavorable weather conditions, the organization of “open doors” days with free attendance at events for families with children.

Ilya Zaitsev, summing up, noted that the proposals made at the meeting will be reflected in the resolution of the Tenth Congress of Deputies: “It is obvious that it is time to change approaches when working with families. Restructuring attitudes will require expanding the usual framework. Local authorities are the “first line” of support for families. They see problems directly and can respond quickly to them. I am sure that the more attentive and active the local authorities are, the more families want to live in this city or region. One of our proposals is to introduce a separate category in the annual competition dedicated to the quality of work of local governments that evaluates work with families.”
