From the production line straight to the warehouse. A unique facility will be built near Grójec

This is one of the largest logistics facilities implemented by the PepsiCo concern in Poland. The high-bay warehouse will be connected to the beverage factory in Michrów, and thanks to automation, the goods (including Pepsi, Mirinda and Lipton Ice Tea) will be delivered straight from the production line. Both facilities will be connected by a special logistic bridge.
— We are just starting the construction of an automatic high-storage beverage warehouse at the factory in Michrów. It will be a warehouse with a capacity of 28.5 thousand. pallets, will have space for 4.7 thousand m and was 38 m high – says Arkadiusz Chłystek, senior project engineer at PepsiCo, to the Newseria agency. He adds that the preparatory work took about two years.

New PepsiCo warehouse. 2 million km saved per year
The warehouse will have a large capacity – over 200 pallets per hour, which means that approximately 150 trucks will leave the warehouse per day. — It will be a fully automatic building. From the end of production to storage in the warehouse and subsequent loading, the entire process will be automatic – says Bartosz Bielicki, project manager at PepsiCo, in an interview with Newseria.

The American concern PepsiCo has been present in Poland for 30 years. It runs five production plants in Poland and employs approximately 32,000. people. The investment in the warehouse in Michrów will allow the company to achieve significant savings. The launch of the new warehouse is expected to reduce the number of transports by approx. 8,000. trucks per year. This is a saving of nearly 2 million km.
The new warehouse has been designed with the possibility of further expansion – up to 65,000. pallet places. It will be equipped with 16 loading docks.
