Ex-Deputy Minister of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was convicted of violations in the procurement of equipment (video)

The court found former Deputy Minister of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Anna Moskvina guilty of abuse of power and sentenced her to a suspended sentence.

It was established that in 2021, contracts were concluded between the regional Ministry of Health, Veliy LLC and MedTrade for the supply of X-ray machines for 5 clinics and hospitals, financing was provided through the Healthcare national project. But the purchased equipment did not comply list.

“The equipment was delivered to medical institutions, and the contracts were paid. The acceptance and full payment were approved by the Deputy Minister of Health, who was then responsible for organizing the examination. Knowing that the supplied equipment did not comply with the terms of the contract, she ignored the commission procedure for accepting medical products,” the prosecutor’s office said.

Anna Moskvina did not admit guilt and explained the following in court: “I acted within the framework of my powers, all contracts passed the necessary checks by the specialized units of the contract service, no violations were identified at that time.”

According to Part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the court sentenced her to 3 years of suspended imprisonment with the same probationary period and banned her from holding leadership positions in the civil service for 2 years.

Let us add that now the medical equipment is idle in the evidence storage room; the issue of the possibility of its operation after alteration is being decided in the Arbitration Court.
