The play-off team did not receive the license for the European cups » The decision is final

FC Arges is the only play-off team that failed to obtain a license for the European Cups, according to an FRF statement.
Rapid and FC Argeș did not receive the UEFA license in the first stage of the licensing process for participation in European cups. Both clubs appealed, but only Giulești received the right to participate. The decision is final. Craiova University, U Cluj, CFR Cluj and Dinamo also received the license among the play-off teams.
The official statement from the FRF: “The Appeals Commission has issued the decisions”
“Regarding the licensing process for clubs applying for a license to participate in UEFA Club competitions for the 2026-2027 season, we make the following clarifications:
The Club Licensing Board issued its decisions on 17 April 2026. Under the RNCL&SF, 2025 edition and the RNLCCFCU, 2025 edition, clubs had until 21 April 2026 to appeal. The Appeals Board delivered their decisions on 30 April 2026.
The following clubs have been licensed to participate in UEFA Men's and Women's Club Competitions, season 2026-2027, as a result of being found to have met the minimum requirements set out in the National Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability Regulations 2025 Edition or the National Club Licensing Regulations for Participation in UEFA Women's Club Competitions 2025 Edition:

FC Argeș is currently in last place in the play-off with 30 accumulated points, with 4 stages before the end of the season. Rapid is in 5th place, with 32 points, just 2 points behind Dinamo.
Rapid lost the European Cup route from the Romanian Cup after being eliminated from the group stage.
