Because the defense forces of Ukraine will now always be the main foundation of our statehood. They must be strong.
War is waged today in several forms: the front, cognitive warfare, cyberspace, and the demographic component. And if the front stops, there is no guarantee that the confrontation in other dimensions will end.
Therefore, various kinds of “insights” from Western media regarding the timing of the war are nothing more than loud headlines, far from reality.
The active phase at the front will not be able to continue for many more years – there are very real reasons for this: economic and human losses in Russia, stopping their advance, reduced logistics – these factors will force the Russian Federation to stop. But Moscow, if it remains a state in its current form, will not stop waging cognitive and cyber warfare, will not stop planning sabotage, and will not cancel its own plans to expel the Ukrainian population from the territory of Ukraine by various means.
We just need to stop perceiving war in a form that it is not. The classical front will stop, sooner or later the active phase will end, many people will return to peaceful life. But other forms of war will remain. Or Russia will fall apart, the state will take a different form and change its external goals towards us. But such a scenario may take many more years.
