The question that Ciprian Ciucu addresses to the president Dan. “I don't think PSD needs to be protected anymore”

PNL First Vice-President Ciprian Ciucu states that, after the three weeks that have passed since the dismissal of the Bolojan government, two questions remain unknown, one of which is answered by President Nicușor Dan.

“I don't understand two things:
(1) Why does the PSD run away from responsibility and not propose a prime minister, coming up with a solution to the problem they themselves created?
(2) Why does Mr. President choose NOT to expose the PSD, protecting them, not entrusting them with the mission of forming the majority necessary to form the Government?”, wrote Ciprian Ciucu, in a post on Facebook.

The liberal claims that, in the absence of the designation of a PSD candidate for the position of prime minister, the president could find himself in a situation where he will have to indirectly assume the burden of governance, through a close relative.

“Why should Mr. President take on the difficult governance with one of his own people? He is not the only one to blame for the political crisis created by the PSD… I don't think the PSD needs to be protected anymore and we will wake up with them again, in two years, in the 2028 elections, how they teach us lessons again!”, continued Ciprian Ciucu.

Bolojan: “PSD has deserted from responsibility”

A similar message was sent by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, who, in an broadcast on DigiFM, stated that the solution of a technocrat prime minister would allow the PSD to evade responsibility for the political crisis.

“The hypothesis of such a government (technocrat – no) is one that has been advanced. Why? Because under normal conditions after the PSD tore down the government of which it was a part, forming a parliamentary majority with the AUR, because it does not take responsibility for this, because it does not present itself as it would be normal to claim the position of prime minister with which, once obtained, it could demonstrate how it can solve all problems without disturbing anyone, but they do not have this courage. Sure that, in a situation that we have, in which the PSD has deserted from responsibility, practically, it is one of the possibilities that have been evoked”, said Bolojan.

Also, the prime minister believes that in the current situation “it is difficult for a technocrat prime minister to be able to perform”.

“From my point of view, after this experience as prime minister, it is difficult for a technocrat prime minister to be able to perform, and I will tell you one of the problems that will certainly arise. In the parliament, there are a number of proposals, in different stages, at all the committees, which theoretically sound good. Exemptions, exemptions, which involve expenses from the state budget. In the conditions where there is no unequivocal political commitment, there will be a tendency of the parliamentarians to vote for these proposals”, said Bolojan.
