A man from Slatina says that he was sprayed with acid and threatened with a knife by an individual in a gas station in the city. The victim claims that the attack was orchestrated by Bercea Mondialu, but he denies any involvement.

A 26-year-old man, from the city of Dragănești-Olt, was threatened and sprayed with acid liquid.
He says he escaped in time, but still suffered burns to his hand. Later, he was allegedly threatened with a knife and when he called for help, the perpetrator ran away.
“It was established that a young man from Dragănești-Olt, amid a conflict, was threatened with death by a person who allegedly threw a liquid on him“, says Ionuț Mitrică, IPJ Olt spokesperson.
According to the victim, the episode is related to a complaint he made against Bercea Mondialu. She allegedly borrowed money from him, and when she ended up owing twice as much and could no longer pay, the threats and pressures began.
“This individual was identified an hour after the attack, he was Bercea Mondialu's arrow. They tried to kill me another time, when they took out the knife from me and the authorities intervened, and a protection order was issued. In Olt county, it's a situation like in the cartels in Mexico. This is how the mafia works. I have injuries to my hand, burns.” said the victim of the violent incident.
The young man claims that he was asked to withdraw his complaint against the underworld.
At the same time, the family of Bercea Mondialu, who is being investigated in several cases, rejects all the accusations.
“It's not true. What this individual is saying, that dad would have paid someone to throw acid on him, if he had done that in the second second he would have been arrested. Bercea Mondial never gave him money with interest. He gave him two cars on debt and even today he has not returned the money to Bercea Mondial“, says Isaura Anghel, Bercea's daughter, according to Olt TV.
The investigation continues in this case. The police are looking for the man accused of committing the crime. If he is found guilty of his act, he risks going to prison.
