Draft Iran-US agreement. The key condition concerns the Strait of Hormuz

According to the alleged agreement reported by Iranian media, Tehran would restore the flow of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz to pre-conflict levels within a month. The US, in turn, would undertake to withdraw its armed forces from the Iranian region and lift the naval blockade.
Iran and Oman with control of the Strait of Hormuz
The draft does not contain any provisions regarding warships, Iranian state television noted. Iran would control traffic in the strait in cooperation with Oman.
If the parties sign the agreement within 60 days, it would be approved by a binding Security Council resolution.
The US denies the authenticity of the agreement
“These reports from the Iranian-controlled media are not true, and the MOU (initial agreement) they published is a complete fake. No one should believe what the Iranian state media spreads. Facts matter,” we read in a message published on one of the White House profiles on the X website.
—As President Trump has said, negotiations are going well and he has made his red lines clear. President Trump will only conclude an agreement that is good for the American people and must guarantee that Iran will never acquire a nuclear weapon, emphasized one of the White House spokeswoman Olivia Wales.
The Strait of Hormuz remains closed
Closing the Strait of Hormuz – one of the most important routes for transporting oil and gas – was Tehran's reaction to the attacks carried out on February 28 by Washington and Israel. The issue of reopening the strait is one of the main points of contention in talks aimed at permanently ending the war. There is currently a ceasefire in hostilities.
