“We are asking for rights and autonomy for the lost territories in Transylvania,” said the president of the Hungarian National Council of Transylvania, Laszlo Tokes, before the Hungarian prime minister will hold his traditional speech from Băile Tușnad, according to the news portal in Hungarian, Trantelex.

Over 7,000 people attended today, July 26, at the speech held by Viktor Orban in closing the works of the “Tusvanyos” Summer University, from Băile Tușnad. Laszlo Tokes, who spoke before the prime minister of Hungary, expressed the joy that the meeting between Ilie Bolojan and Orban took place in Bucharest.

Later, the Hungarian prime minister also had words of praise to the Romanian prime minister.

Also, Laszlo stressed that “Transylvania is in the first place for us, as well as the cause of the Hungarian people”, and that, therefore, the development of Romanian-Hungarian relations is not only important, but also essential.

The problem of Transylvania and Hungarians in this area “cannot be solved without our Romanian friends,” said Laszlo Tokes. He added that “we must not reconcile and be hostile, but to wear an open dialogue, negotiate and reach an agreement, which will be an extraordinary challenge,” writes Trantelex.

According to Antena 3, Laszlo Tokes also stated that “Transylvania must remain under Romanian rule, but under Hungarian autonomy.” “There must be a law of minorities. The third subject on the agenda of the Romanian -Hungarian dialogue is the administrative reform.”
