In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an increase in tourist flow is expected in the summer season. Yulia Filatova told TASS about this live.
According to her, car tourism is now growing noticeably. The increase in this area is about 10%. At the same time, the tourism industry is going through a difficult period: people are more often choosing more affordable trips and trying to save money. Yulia Filatova noted that previously the main flow of tourists came from the western part of the country, but now residents of Siberia are coming more actively.
“If we talk about the forecast, the national project aims to attract 1.5 million tourists. The summer months are the most popular, we expect 600 thousand tourists,” she said.
Krasnoyarsk remains one of the main destinations. According to Julia FIlatova, the city has ceased to be perceived only as a place for business trips. Now tourists come here for restaurants, ski holidays, walks in the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park and city events. Interest in Shushenskoye and the Arctic territories is also growing. Among the promising areas, the expert named the Putorana Plateau, Turukhansky District, Taimyr, Lake Lama, Cape Chelyuskin and routes connected to the North Pole. However, the massive development of such trips is hampered by high costs, complex logistics and regime restrictions for foreign tourists.
Last year, about 11 thousand foreign tourists visited the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This year, the authorities are relying on guests from the CIS countries, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. For foreign travelers, they also plan to promote Shushenskoye as a destination associated with the history of Lenin’s exile, and Krasnoyarsk as a city for youth and event trips.
Special attention will be paid to preparations for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk in 2028. For the anniversary, roads in the city are being repaired, new museum spaces are being prepared and a park museum is being built on Molokova Island. It is also planned to develop hotel infrastructure. According to Yulia Filatova, the construction of three hotel facilities was allowed in Krasnoyarsk, including projects in the Bobrovy Log fun park. The volume of investments may exceed 3 billion rubles.
Among the events that should attract guests, Yulia Filatova named gastronomic and music festivals, World of Siberia, the Dmitry Hvorostovsky festival, sports and business events.
In addition, Yulia Filatova called on entrepreneurs to invest more actively in the tourism sector of the region, as one of the most promising areas.
