Operator T2 has improved the 4G network in the tourist area of Khakassia

T2, a Russian mobile operator, has improved its network in the Shirinsky district of the Republic of Khakassia.

By the beginning of the tourist season, the company’s engineers installed new base stations of 2G and 4G standards in two popular locations among vacationers – the resort village of Zhemchuzhny and the Tuimsky Proval area. Voice communications at both points have become more stable, and mobile Internet has become faster.

In the resort village of Zhemchuzhny, the installation of additional equipment made it possible to increase the network capacity: vacationers can use mobile Internet at high speeds even during peak hours. Zhemchuzhny is located on the shore of Lake Shira – one of the largest salt lakes in Khakassia, famous for the healing properties of water and mud.

Thanks to the placement of a new base station in the village of Tuim, the operator has improved coverage for local residents and tourists coming to the Tuim failure. This is a man-made object on the site of a closed underground mine: in its place a funnel about 120 meters deep filled with turquoise water formed – one of the most unusual sights of Khakassia.

It should be noted that in the summer of 2025, 21% more tourists visited the Shirinsky district of Khakassia than a year earlier. The increase in vacationers was primarily due to travelers from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Irkutsk Region, Kuzbass, Novosibirsk and Tomsk Regions. Traditionally, residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory most often travel around Khakassia. They make up approximately two-thirds of the total tourist flow of the republic.
