In Krasnoyarsk, a 15-year-old boy was taken to a temporary detention center for insulting government officials.
Let us remind you that the incident occurred on May 16 near the Kubatura shopping center. A group of people gathered there and traffic police inspectors arrived to hold the 20-year-old Mercedes driver accountable for driving without a license. But the violator’s minor friend began to use obscene language at the law enforcement officers, publicly insulted him and interfered with the preparation of the report. Eyewitnesses filmed what was happening, the video was posted on social networks and it received many views.
“The guy was saved from initiating a criminal case for insulting a government official (Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for two months, which was not enough to reach the age of 16 for criminal prosecution. But the prosecutor’s investigation showed that this is not the first time that the teenager has opposed himself to society and state values; he has been shown to be committed to extremist movements,” the department said.
As a result, the court placed the student in the Temporary Detention Center for Juvenile Offenders for 30 days.
The Mercedes driver, who is a persistent traffic violator, received 15 days of administrative arrest, and his car was taken to a special parking lot. Later they brought charges against the guy a criminal case of the use of violence against a government official and insult (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code).
