Krasnoyarsk Railways begins a major overhaul of the pedestrian bridge at the Oktyabrskaya stopping point in Krasnoyarsk

On April 20, Krasnoyarsk Railways begins a major overhaul of the pedestrian bridge at the Oktyabrskaya stopping point in the Leninsky district of Krasnoyarsk.

A reinforced concrete bridge with a length of 54 m provides passage for passengers across the tracks to electric trains, and also connects the adjacent industrial and residential areas located on both sides of the railway. The building was built in 1963.

During the repair work, which will last from April to August, the bridge will be completely closed.

During this period, for the convenience and safety of passengers, railway workers install wooden flooring across the tracks. Navigation and information signs, as well as safety warning signs, will be installed at the approaches to the stopping point.

To bring the pedestrian bridge on the Oktyabrskaya platform to modern standards and make it more convenient for passengers and city residents, specialists will repair the spans, concrete surfaces of the supports and stringers using modern polymer materials.

Instead of asphalt, a new one will be laid, with an anti-slip layer of rubber crumbs – this will increase safety during adverse weather conditions. Metal railings and fences will be replaced with more durable ones made of composite materials. A new lighting system will also be installed.

The Oktyabrskaya passenger platform is located in the industrial zone of the right bank of Krasnoyarsk. Every day, employees of dozens of enterprises come here to work and leave here. In summer, the stopping point is actively used by summer residents. Daily passenger traffic is up to 500 people.

Krasnoyarsk Railways asks you to strictly follow safety rules: cross the tracks on a specially equipped ground floor only after making sure that there are no approaching trains.
