2 spoons per hole – and the tomatoes grow by leaps and bounds: feeding for the growth of roots and ovaries

After planting tomatoes, you want them to quickly take root, grow and bloom. The most effective scheme is a combination of agricultural practices and organics. After this, the bushes actively grow roots, the stems thicken, and the buds fill quickly. Agronomist Ksenia Davydova spoke about this.

First 10 days

The main task is to ensure survival. This requires watering and loosening, provided that the holes are filled correctly. A deep hole protects the seedlings from the wind and retains heat longer. During this period, foliar treatment with Epin is done – it restores plants after stress (transplantation, frost), stimulates cell division and accelerates rooting.

Root stimulation

When the plants have taken root and started to grow, the hole becomes cramped. Stepchildren appear, the lower leaves may turn yellow – they are removed. The plants are watered the day before and loosened before removal. Then the hole is filled to the brim with organic matter, after which the boundaries are compared with dry soil from a roller, making a common bed. A layer of organic matter under the soil, in contact with the wounds, gives rapid growth of additional roots and becomes excellent nutrition.

After 2-3 days, the bed is well watered, and after drying, mulched with a thick layer of dry leaves – then they forget about care for the whole summer: there is enough nutrition, moisture is retained.

Option without organics

If there is no organic matter, throw 2 tbsp into the holes. spoons of complex fertilizer and microelements. Then the holes are also filled with soil from the garden bed, leveled, watered and mulched.

The right deep hole, organic matter for growing roots and Epin for relieving stress – tomatoes “man up” before our eyes.

Personal experience

Last year, after planting, the tomatoes stood still for a long time, did not grow, and turned yellow. I tried a scheme with a deep hole and filling it with humus after removing the lower leaves. Within a week, the bushes were transformed: the stems thickened, new roots appeared, and flowering began 10 days earlier than usual. Now this is the only way I plant.
