Two trams collided head-on on Saturday in the German city of Dusseldorf, an accident resulting in the injury of more than 50 people, many of whom required hospitalization, the emergency services announced, informs AFP, taken over by Agerpres.
The accident happened around 11:30 local time (09:30 GMT) at a busy intersection in this western German city.
A number of 28 injured were taken to hospital, while another 28 who suffered minor injuries were treated on the spot.
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and the police have opened an investigation.
