House struck by lightning in Galati county: a person is seriously injured after trying to put out the fire
A strong fire broke out at a house in the town of Nărțești, Galați county, after a house was struck by lightning. Firefighters intervened to extinguish the flames, which quickly spread and caused significant damage.
Two special fire trucks and a tanker from the Tecuci Fire Department were mobilized to the scene.
“The fire, most likely caused by lightning (ball lightning), generally affected a house, with an area of approximately 140 square meters. They burned the roof and the goods inside, respectively furniture, electrical appliances and several tools and construction site equipment. Also, approximately 3 tons of grain stored in the building were destroyed”transmitted ISU Galati.

The flames also reached a neighboring house.
A person who tried to put out the fire before the crews intervened was injured in the upper and lower limbs.
The victim was picked up by an EMS crew and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
