The head of the Hungarian government was asked whether, despite Karol Nawrocki's support for his rival in the Hungarian parliamentary elections, he wanted to have normal relations with the Polish president, or whether he would prefer Donald Tusk.
“Every politician has the right to support whomever he wants. But after the elections, the legal government also has the right to freely choose with whom it wants to cooperate. Let's be honest: there is no friendship in politics. There's business” said Peter Magyar.
He recalled that President Nawrocki is not the only one who openly supported Orbán. You can also indicate the president of the USA, the prime minister of Israel, the president of Russia, the president of Turkey, the president of Serbia or the prime minister of Slovakia.
“Such is life. During our short meeting, the president pointed out that this is not about him, Prime Minister Tusk, Prime Minister Magyar or Prime Minister Orbán. It is about the friendship between Poland and Hungary, which has been going on for a thousand years. It is about the special relations that connect us,” he emphasized.
