Honorary citizen of the region Ivan Stepanovich Kubarev

May 22, 1934

On this day in the village. Gurnev, Muromtsevsky district, Omsk region, Ivan Stepanovich Kubarev was born – Honorary Citizen of the Jewish Autonomous Region.

He began his career in 1952 as a printer of the regional newspaper “Krasnoe Znamya” (12+) p. Troitskoye, Khabarovsk Territory.

After graduating from the Blagoveshchensk Agricultural Institute, Ivan Stepanovich came to the village. Yellow Yar, Birobidzhan district, where he worked as an engineer on the collective farm named after. Anikeeva. Then he taught at the Birobidzhan Agricultural College. And in 1961, a young engineer came to the Birobidzhan convoy plant – the future Dalselmash.

He devoted 24 years to the leading plant, where Ivan Stepanovich worked as a design engineer, head of the design bureau, head of the technical control department, deputy chief engineer, chief engineer, and director.

In 1985, Ivan Stepanovich was elected first deputy chairman of the regional executive committee and until July 2001 served as first deputy chairman of the government of the Jewish Autonomous Region.

The range of issues supervised by I.S. Kubarev, was broad: industry, transport, communications, energy, housing and communal services, construction, road management.

In 2003, by a resolution of the Legislative Assembly of the Jewish Autonomous Region, Ivan Stepanovich Kubarev was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the Jewish Autonomous Region.

While on a well-deserved rest, Ivan Stepanovich left our region.

I.S. Kubarev was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor, the Order of Courage, the Honorary Badge of Honor and Respect, and the medals “For Valiant Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin,” and “Veteran of Labor.”

Material about this was published in the newspaper Birobidzhan Star (12+) on May 24, 1942.

“The meeting was opened with a brief introductory speech in Hebrew by a member of the All-Union Anti-Fascist Jewish Committee, chairman of the regional Council of Working People’s Deputies, Comrade Zilberstein.”

A report on the current situation was made in Hebrew by a member of the All-Union Anti-Fascist Jewish Committee, secretary of the regional committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, comrade. Kushnir.

The Jewish anti-fascist rally was broadcast on the radio.

May 22, 1943

A literary and artistic evening (12+) took place at the regional library named after Sholom Aleichem.

The secretary of the Birobidzhan group of writers, Comrade Miller.

After the report, a concert (12+) was given by the artists of the Birobidzhan State Jewish Theater named after. L.M. Kaganovich.

May 22, 1980

The Bureau of the Regional Committee of the CPSU considered the issue “On the work of the Oktyabrsky District Committee of the CPSU in implementing the Resolution of the CPSU Central Committee “On further improvement of ideological, political and educational work.” The adopted resolution noted that the district committee of the CPSU and party organizations are directing their efforts to ideologically support the solution of national economic problems, early implementation of plans and obligations of 1980 and the Tenth Five-Year Plan.

The region's industry fulfilled the plan for 1979 and four months of 1980 for the sale of products, agricultural workers successfully fulfilled the annual plan for the procurement and sale of grain, meat, milk, potatoes and honey to the state.

The Bureau of the Regional Committee of the CPSU obliged the Oktyabrsky District Party Committee to take specific measures to further improve the forms and methods of ideological work and the moral education of workers.

May 22, 1997

A regional branch of the “Combat Brotherhood” was formed in the Jewish Autonomous Region.

“Combat Brotherhood” is an All-Russian social movement of veterans of local wars and military conflicts. The organization is designed to provide social, legal and psychological assistance to participants in local wars, disabled combatants, and families of fallen servicemen.

The “Combat Brotherhood” pays a lot of attention to the military-patriotic education of schoolchildren and youth.
