Nuclear maneuvers of Russia and Belarus. Lukashenko declares full readiness

Although the general staffs of both countries exercise regularly, For the first time, both leaders were directly involved in the process. According to BelTA, the so-called electronic launch, which fully reproduces a real combat situation without physically firing the rocket.

Lukashenko assured his full readiness to defend the territory of the union state by all available means.

During a conversation with Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that although the headquarters of both countries meet for training purposes every quarter, the presidents' participation in nuclear maneuvers had been planned since last winter. The leader of Belarus emphasized that these actions are of a defensive nature and do not pose a threat to other countries.

— We are dealing with a legal matter and will continue to do so, protecting the lives of our citizens, said the Belarusian leader. He also added that the Russian generals he talked to during the inspection of military facilities were satisfied with their joint work.

Iskanders on standby. Inspection process

The key point of the maneuvers was Lukashenko's visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and the Osypowicki region. It was there that the President of Belarus inspected the missile brigade's equipment fleet.

The main element of the show was the Iskander-M launcher. A simulated missile attack procedure using nuclear weapons was carried out there. As emphasized in the messages, all actions were performed exactly as in the conditions of a real clash, with the difference that there was no physical firing of the missile.

Lukashenko confirmed that he personally visited military facilities in the eastern and central parts of the country, assessing their condition as good. He also announced that planned events would continue without disruption.
