Leo Grozavu (58 years old), last coach at FC Botoșani, had an intervention on the GSP Live show where he talked about his future plans, noting that he had some discussions recently, but decided to take a break at least until the summer.
The technician also commented on the recent statements of Gigi Becali (67 years old), who mentioned that Grozavu was the second option for the coaching position at FCSB, in case Mirel Rădoi (45 years old) had refused the offer.
However, Leo Grozavu claimed that he would not have had a problem accepting the offer from FCSB, noting that he is not the type of coach who just “follows orders”.

“I have enough to do, I have been away from home a lot. All sorts of problems, domestic or less, arose. A lot has been collected, among them we are still up to date with what is happening in the world of football.
You often need moments like this to reset yourself. There were discussions, but I said that at the moment I am not interested, at least until the summer. At this point, there had to be something to really motivate me, nothing came. From the summer, we'll see if it will be the case,” initially declared Leo Grozavu, at GSP Live.
Later, Leo Grozavu also commented on the fact that he was the second option on Gigi Becali's list for the coaching position at FCSB, but he stated that he cannot work under such conditions, “just to carry out orders”.
“At the moment, no. My age doesn't allow me anymore. If I was younger, I would care less. I've built a career over so many years and now it's difficult. I'm talking about age because when you're young your CV matters a lot, for me it doesn't matter at the moment.
I've built a career, people know me differently, they know I'm not the type to just execute. I'm very involved, I think I have enough experience to do things as I see fit on my end.
I'm a collaboration guy, but by no means a take-order-and-execute guy. This is the image I created for myself. Of course, if things change, I'm willing to talk to anyone. I am a professional trainer, but not under the given conditions“.
