Meteorologists announce a yellow code for strong winds in several areas of the country and atmospheric instability, especially in the eastern half, until Saturday morning. The municipality of Bucharest is also subject to a warning.
The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) specifies that, until Saturday morning, especially in the eastern half of the country, there will be periods of atmospheric instability that will be manifested by showers, electrical discharges, wind intensifications and isolated hail.
“In short periods of time or through accumulation, the quantities of water will be 20…30 l/m2 and in isolated cases more than 40…50 l/m2”, ANM said.
The wind will have temporary intensifications in the eastern regions, and on Thursday and Friday also in the west and center of the territory. There will be speeds in general of 45…55 km/h, and in the high mountain area of 60…90 km/h.
On Wednesday, until 22.00, there is a yellow code for strong wind in Moldova, northern Dobrogea, eastern and northeastern Muntenia, where meteorologists announce wind intensifications with speeds of 50…65 km/h.
On Thursday, between 06:00 and 21:00, there will be a yellow code in Moldova, the north-east of Muntenia and the south of Banat, with speeds of 50…65 km/h.

For the municipality of Bucharest, a meteorological information message will be in effect regarding atmospheric instability, significant amounts of water, intensification of the wind, from May 20, at 10:00 a.m., until May 23, at 10:00 a.m., states ANM.
The weather will remain thermally normal from Wednesday morning until Thursday at 09:00, but it will also be slightly unstable. The sky will be temporarily cloudy, and in the afternoon and night there will be showers (5…8 l/m2) and electrical discharges. The wind will blow weak and moderate. The maximum temperature will be 25…26 degrees, and the minimum 12…14 degrees.
From Thursday morning until Friday at 09:00, the sky will be temporarily cloudy and there will be periods of showers (6…8 l/m2, isolated over 10 l/m2) and electrical discharges. The wind will blow weak and moderate. The maximum temperature will be 23…25 degrees, and the minimum 13…14 degrees.
A period of showers, thunderstorms, and wind gusts are expected from Friday morning until 10:00 a.m. Saturday. The sky will be temporarily cloudy, the maximum temperature being 21…23 degrees, and the minimum 13…14 degrees.
