
On the night of May 18, the army of the aggressor country, Russia, attacked Ukraine with 22 missiles and 524 drones. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Telegram.
The main direction of attack is the Dnieper and Dnepropetrovsk region. In addition, the Russian Federation attacked the Odessa, Chernigov and Zaporozhye regions.
In total, the radio technical troops of the Air Force recorded 546 air attack weapons:
- 14 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launched from the Rostov region of the Russian Federation and Crimea);
- eight Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch areas – Crimea);
- 524 attack drones (flying from the directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, Donetsk, Gvardeyskoye – Crimea).
According to preliminary data, as of 8.30, the air defense had shot down/neutralized 507 targets – four Iskander-K missiles and 503 drones.
We recorded hits from 18 missiles and 16 attack drones at 34 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (debris) at 11 locations.
In the Dnepropetrovsk region, as a result of the Russian attack, according to the State Emergency Service, the number of victims increased to 26, including two children. In Dnieper, fires occurred in residential buildings and an educational institution. Apartment and private buildings, a religious institution, businesses and cars were damaged. A gas station was damaged in the Nikopol region.
There are two victims in the Chernihiv region.
Two more people were injured in Odessa, including an 11-year-old child.
