Barcelona, 3-1 with Betis, celebrated the title on Sunday evening, but also Robert Lewandowski (37 years old), when he parted with the Blaugrana group.
Coach Hansi Flick started Lewandowski against Betis, but the Pole failed to score this time, as he had done so many times during his 4 seasons in the Blaugrana shirt.
Even so, the fans celebrated him throughout the game, applauding him, cheering him on every touch of the ball, every successful shot or action. And when the Pole was substituted, in the 85th minute, the spectators rose to their feet and chanted his name.
Barcelona won 3 titles, three Spanish Super Cups and the Copa del Rey with Robert Lewandowski in the team
At the same time, they unfurled a banner in the stands that read “Robert, it all started with you.” And so it was! Even after he was bought from Bayern, in 2022, for 45 million euros, Lewandowski helped Barca win the title again (2022 – 2023), which he had not seen for 4 years!

In total, with Lewa in the team, there were three, with those of 2025 and 2026! The Polish goalscorer also helped win a Copa del Rey (2025) and three Spanish Super Cups (2023, 2025, 2026). Personal record of the Polish “goal machine” in the Blaugrana shirt: 192 games, in all competitions, 112 goals scored and 24 assists.
After the final whistle of the confrontation with Betis, the Polish international was blown up and his teammates formed a guard of honour. Visibly moved, Lewandowski could not control his tears. And President Joan Laporta, also crying, presented him with a badge as a gift.

Lewa also gave a farewell speech to the supporters: “Thank you very much for coming today, it's a very emotional day. It's something very exciting and very difficult. When I came, I knew the club was big, but with your affection it was incredible.
From day one, I felt at home in Barcelona and on this pitch. Thanks to my teammates, coaches and all the club staff. It was an honor to play for this club. We have experienced great moments in these four years. I am very proud of what we have done together.
Today I say goodbye, but I will always carry you in my heart. Once a Barça fan, always a Barça fan. Thank you very much, Visca el Barça, Visca Catalunya”.
Lewandowski, whose contract expires on July 1 and has not been extended, has received offers from the Saudi Pro League, but also from Europe. It is not yet known where he will take her, but the Spanish press speculates that she will most likely end up in Saudi Arabia.
