III alerts for the south of Poland. Storms and downpours threaten life


For central regions of Pomerania, IMGW issued 1st degree warnings.

RCB warns against extreme weather phenomena
The Government Security Center (RCB) issued alerts on Sunday and Monday for the voivodships of Łódź, Świętokrzyskie, Opolskie, Silesia and Lesser Poland. These messages are related to forecast extreme weather conditions that can pose a serious threat to health, life and property.
Earlier warnings against heavy rain with storms and hydrological alerts of the first and second degree remain in force. All warnings will apply until Monday.
At 18.00 a meeting was convened The Government Crisis Management Team – said the Ministry of the Interior and Administration on the portal X.
What do IMGW alert levels mean?
– ** 3rd degree warning **: provides for dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause very high damage and even catastrophic damage. There is also a high risk of life -threatening.
– ** Second degree warning **: indicates the possibility of dangerous weather phenomena that can lead to serious material losses and pose a threat to health and life.
– ** 1st degree warning **: signals conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous weather phenomena that can cause material losses and a threat to health and life.
