Fire at a nuclear power plant. The IAEA issued a statement

A drone hit a generator at a nuclear power plant in the UAE

The third object reached a power plant in the Al Dhafra region and hit an electrical generator located outside the inner perimeter of the nuclear complex. The Ministry of Defense has initiated an investigation to determine the origin of the drones.

The Emirate's Federal Nuclear Regulatory Authority confirmed that the plant's core systems were operating without disruptions. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported, citing local authorities' announcements, that measurements did not show an increased level of radiation in the facility. The UN agency responsible for nuclear supervision declared its readiness to provide support if needed. The IAEA announced that it will monitor the development of the situation in constant contact with representatives of the UAE.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, however, expressed “grave concern about the incident.” He said military activity that threatens nuclear security is unacceptable. “The Director-General reiterates his call for maximum military restraint in the vicinity of any nuclear power plant to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident,” reads a statement published by the IAEA.
