The country that scored only one point at Eurovision 2026. It hasn't won in 30 years

Although in the first decades of the existence of the Eurovision contest Great Britain repeatedly occupied the podium, in the recent history of the competition it has not had the same success.

The most recent good result in the Eurovision hierarchy was achieved by Sam Ryder in 2022 with the song “Space Man”, ranking second. On Saturday night he scored a counter-performance, taking last place at Eurovision 2026 with 'Eins, Zwei, Drei' by Sam Battle, known as Look Mum No Computer.

The UK's only point came exclusively from the national jury in Ukraine, with the country receiving no points from the public.

The last time she won was in 1997, when Katrina and the Waves wowed the audience and the judges with 'Love Shine a Light'. In total, the United Kingdom has won the trophy five times in the competition's history.

The United Kingdom is part of the group of big contributors, having automatic qualification to the grand final of the Eurovision contest.
