Iran is preparing a new traffic mechanism in the Strait of Hormuz. Fees will be charged

Iran's project to organize traffic in the Strait of Hormuz will be announced soon. This was announced on Saturday by the chairman of the national security committee of the Iranian parliament, Ebrahim Azizi. He added that only merchant ships and entities cooperating with Iran will benefit from the offered solution. He also informed that fees will be charged for specialized services provided under this mechanism.

Strait of Hormuz still blocked. Conversations are stuck
At the end of February, in response to the attack by the United States and Israel, Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz, a key strait for the transportation of oil from the Middle East. Talks about lasting peace have stalled, with both sides rejecting each other's proposals for an agreement.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the main points of contention, and its blockage has shaken oil markets around the world. Oil prices, and with them fuel and energy prices, have skyrocketed.
Iran announced at the beginning of May that only one safe route would be available in the Strait of Hormuz, adding that ships trying to bypass it would face a strong response from the Iranian Navy.
