In Yeniseisk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 58-year-old violating driver decided to set fire to his car so that he would not be taken to a special parking lot.

The man was driving a Niva without license plates and was stopped by traffic police inspectors on one of the central streets of the city. The police found out that he deprived of the right to drive.

During the procedure for drawing up a report on the detention of a vehicle, the driver set a rag on fire using gasoline in the car. Serious consequences were avoided – the police quickly put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.

“The arsonist was taken to the police department. Having considered the case materials, the Yenisei District Court sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest. The car was placed in a specialized parking lot,” the traffic police said.
