The outflow of capital from Polish direct investments abroad amounted to PLN 14.7 billion. “In the structure of this outflow, transactions in the form of debt instruments (PLN 8.8 billion) and reinvested profits (PLN 6.1 billion) prevailed. The transaction balance was reduced by the influx of capital to Poland in the form of shares and other forms of capital shares for PLN -0.2 billion” -read.

They mainly concerned foreign entities of direct investment related to industrial processing (PLN 6.3 billion), mining and extraction (PLN 5.8 billion), wholesale and retail trade (PLN 3.1 billion) and financial and insurance activities (PLN 1.5 billion).
Income of Polish investors from direct investments abroad in 2024 amounted to PLN 11.4 billionwhich was influenced by the reinvested profits of PLN 6.1 billion and declared dividends in the amount of PLN 3.7 billion. Income from debt financial instruments (interest) closed in the amount of PLN 1.5 billion.
Foreign investment in Poland
From the NBP report, we also learn what foreign investment in our country looked like. In 2024, the influx of net capital for foreign direct investments in Poland amounted to PLN 56.5 billion against PLN 119.9 billion a year earlier.
This was: reinvesting profits in the amount of PLN 56.4 billion, the influx of capital from shares and other forms of capital shares in the amount of PLN 24.4 billion and the outflow of capital from debt instruments in the amount of PLN 24.3 billion.

“In 2024, foreign direct investments went mainly to entities dealing with industrial processing (PLN 12.9 billion), information and communication (PLN 8.1 billion) as well as financial and insurance activities (PLN 7.4 billion)” – we read.
“The geographical structure of direct investors indicates a significant share of investments from countries where entities of special purpose are registered. This is evidenced by high states of liabilities to investors from countries such as the Netherlands (PLN 251.7 billion) and Luxembourg (PLN 180.5 billion). PLN) and France (PLN 101.1 billion) ” – said in the NBP report.
The report shows that Income of foreign direct investors from direct investments made in Poland in 2024 amounted to PLN 135.2 billion. The reinvested profits amounted to PLN 56.4 billion, dividends paid PLN 63.6 billion, and income from debt financial instruments (interest) closed in the amount of PLN 15.2 billion.
