Trump and Xi Jinping discussed Iran. The US president reveals details

Friday's conversation between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump took place in the tea room in the garden of the Zhongnanhai government complex. The heavily guarded Zhongnanhai complex is the headquarters of the highest leaders of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This place is shrouded in an aura of mystery. The Iran case has become one of the main topics of discussion.
— We talked about Iran, we have very similar feelings about Iran. We want this to end. We don't want them to have nuclear weapons. We want to keep the strait open, Trump said.
Donald Trump on “fantastic trade deals” with China
The US president also announced the conclusion of favorable economic arrangements with the Chinese side, although he refrained from revealing specifics. He described them as “fantastic trade deals.” He also once again expressed personal respect for Xi Jinping, describing him as a friend.
Trump recalled his long friendship with the Chinese leader. He noted that their relationship had survived many difficult moments.
— We've known each other for 11 years, almost 12 years. “It's been a long time and we've encountered a lot of problems that others couldn't solve, and our relationship is very strong,” he concluded.
The Chinese leader told Trump about the history of the place where the conversation took place. He explained that the choice of this location was intended as a form of revenge for Trump's reception of him at the Mar-a-Lago private club in Florida. That meeting took place in 2017, when both politicians saw each other for the first time.
Xi also promised to send the American president rose seeds from the garden where the conversation took place. Trump had previously admired the flowers, calling them “the most beautiful he had ever seen.” The meeting was intimate, but with an important difference – the Chinese leader drank tea from a golden cup, which the American guest did not receive.
