A donor event took place in the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in which deputies, employees of the Legislative Assembly and the regional government took part.
This is a joint event with the Krasnoyarsk Regional Blood Center No. 1. Employees of the prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory also joined the donor campaign.
The event was attended by deputies Pavel Semizorov, Ekaterina Udelko, Vitaly Drozdov. In total, more than 40 people replenished the blood bank.
The previous action within the walls of the Legislative Assembly took place in October last year. Then it was decided to hold such an event regularly. For several hours, one of the premises in the ZS building becomes a mobile medical office. A team of specialists with a range of equipment is located here. Donors do not need to take time off work to visit a medical facility or stand in line.
In advance, the organizers inform participants about the procedure and collect applications. On the day of the event, participants come to the mobile point with a passport, fill out a form and undergo a short medical examination. The main requirement for a donor is not to have blood-borne diseases. The standard volume of blood that one person donates during donation is 450 ml.
The medical institution operates in two modes: stationary and on-site. Mobile teams are in great demand and there are always quite a lot of requests. Specialists are ready to cooperate with any organizations.
“Donation is an honorable mission. I have donated blood before, and this is the second time I am participating in the Legislative Assembly event. The on-site format is very convenient, and I am glad to join the large-scale donor movement,” said Ekaterina Udelko.
Among the active participants in the action are employees of the prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. As Kirill Ostapchuk, senior specialist of the 1st category of the documentation support department of the department for consideration of applications, reception of citizens and documentation support of the regional prosecutor's office, explained, he has been working in the department not so long ago, but immediately responded to the call to become a donor.
“I’m donating blood for the second time. I’m glad if I can help other people in some way, save someone’s life. My colleagues always support such events, I plan to join and participate in donations in the future,” said Kirill Ostapchuk.
For parliamentarian Vitaly Drozdov, this procedure became special, the 40th in a row. Now Vitaly Alexandrovich will receive the right to be awarded the title “Honorary Donor of Russia.”
“Donating blood is a normal procedure for me, but today, to be honest, I’m a little excited. I have now completed my fortieth procedure, which will allow me to become an honorary donor. Within the walls of our native Legislative Assembly, in the caring hands of medical specialists who have already become family, everything always goes smoothly. A certain stage has been passed, I will have a new status, and I will continue to donate blood. Once I started participating in this at the request of friends and acquaintances, then I was included in the database of a medical institution – I have a rather rare blood type. I tolerate the procedures well, and it is important to me if my blood gives someone the opportunity to improve their health or even save their life,” said Vitaly Drozdov.
