By tradition, a large festive program was held in the southern capital of Krasnoyarsk, which was opened by the costume procession of the Siberian Girlfriend. Employees of enterprises and institutions of the region, outstanding residents of the region, workers of the village, newlyweds and married couples of Minusinsk, who have been living together for many years, took part in it. Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov greeted the participants and guests of the holiday:
“Minusinsk is full of bright colors, Minusinsk – hospitable, Minusinsk is known today far beyond the borders of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and all of Siberia. Yesterday we held a large federal event here – the forum of the supporting cities of Russia. Together with the leaders of the federal ministries, they discussed what cities of the future to be, what needs to be done to make our children, the youth here was comfortable, comfortable to want to live here. And I have no doubt that we will achieve these results. The guests who arrived yesterday in Minusinsk are from different corners of the country, and all, without exception, are pleasantly surprised at which city is cozy, beautiful, sunny, how it develops. The regional holiday “Day of Minusinsky Tomato” has been held for more than 20 years and has long become a real brand of the south of the region. Every year he collects thousands of guests from different parts of Russia. Each year, the central event is the awarding ceremony of the winners of the Minusinsky Tomato contest, which in 2025 expanded its borders – not only the inhabitants of Minusinsk, but also the entire Minusinsk municipal district could take part.
44 gardeners fought for the title of best. In the nomination “Minusinsk Champion”, 30 people appeared on the largest tomato, 7 people in the nomination “The most productive bush”, another 7 participants tried their forces in the special minimization of the year “Tomato Manad The Family of the Fatherland Family”, which was carried out only for the families of the participants of SV.
The owner of the new Niva was a resident of Minusinsk, a doctor Natalya Sonina, who raised the Tomatus of the Bifstex Alby variety weighing 2820 grams. The record holder is 85 grams of more than last year's winner. On the site of Natalia Sonina, who has been breeding tomatoes for many years, 100 varieties are growing. The winner was removed from the bush on August 7.
Throughout the day, an agricultural fair of manufacturers of the South of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is also working in Minusinsk today.
