Over the past week 1,355 residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory turned to doctors with complaints of tick bites, including 388 children. This was reported by Rospotrebnadzor.

In total, 2,321 people have suffered from tick encounters since the beginning of the season.

“Unfortunately, the first cases of tick-borne infections have already been registered. Two cases of viral encephalitis were laboratory confirmed: a 27-year-old Krasnoyarsk resident encountered an infected tick in the Solontsy area, a 47-year-old resident of Achinsk at a construction site within the city. The diagnosis of borreliosis was confirmed in four residents of our region, including three children,” epidemiologists said.

It is also noted that today acaricidal treatments held on the square more than 730 hectares.
