In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the conditions for comprehensive physical rehabilitation of persons with disabilities are discussed, including veterans of a special military operation. This topic was raised at the presidium of the regional government under the chairmanship of the governor Mikhail Kotyukov.

The Minister of Sports of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Denis Petrovsky said that now in the region adaptive physical education methods are used to rehabilitate disabled people. Not only residents of Krasnoyarsk can participate in classes. In the support cities – Achinsk, Lesosibirsk, Minusinsk and Kansk – departments of the regional center for sports training in adaptive sports, where people can seek organizational help.

Mikhail Kotyukov noted that 192 sports institutions of the region are already engaged in the involvement of the wounded veterans in the region. Veterans help to return to the active life of 178 coaches and instructors in different municipalities of the region. More than 12.8 thousand participants in their own and members of their families participated in free physical education classes in regional state sports institutions, of which 5.8 thousand people were this year. 630 participants are training regularly.

“But these are only the first steps. We must create a full -fledged system for the work of adaptive sports centers, which would allow veterans to actively play sports, participate in general ceiling and all -Russian sports events. There is a large set of sports activities where you can take part even taking into account health features. And for veterans themselves, this is socialization, a sense of their demand in society, ”Mikhail Kotyukov noted the importance of such events for veterans.

In Krasnoyarsk, the Center for Information was created on the basis of the Sports Complex “Rainbow”. Its experts evaluate the condition of the body of veterans, conduct a sports and functional classification in paralympic sports and develop recommendations for the optimal level of motor load, sport or sports disciplines.

Events on adaptive physical culture and sports with the participation of war veterans are already included in the calendar plan of the sporting events of the region. The largest tournament is competitions among the participants of their own and members of their families “Cup of Defenders of the Fatherland”, which was held in the region twice. This year they plan to hold competitions in late November.

The government recalled that now in Krasnoyarsk a multifunctional physical and health complex is designed in adaptive sports. It is planned to open it in the fall of 2027. It will become not only a sports base, but also the place of counseling and support for residents of the region with disabilities or temporary health restrictions.

Mikhail Kotyukov instructed the Ministry of Sports to clarify the regional needs for specialists and equipment for physical rehabilitation and adaptive physical education and adaptive sports for further involvement of residents of the region with disabilities in active life.
