A 58-year-old man from Constanţa county is being investigated by the police because in October he allegedly injured a cat intentionally, using a homemade device. The investigators searched his home and found several objects that were used to injure animals.

The representatives of the Police Inspectorate of Constanţa County announced, on Tuesday, that the policemen made a search in the town of Valu lui Traian, at the residence of a person suspected of committing the crime of intentionally injuring animals, News writes.
“From the investigations carried out by the police, it emerged that, in October 2025, a 58-year-old man allegedly made a homemade device, with which he intentionally injured a feline.
Following the search, the police officers discovered and seized, in order to continue the investigations, several items of evidentiary value, including a metal sling, a metal pipe, a device made by hand from a nail, as well as a box containing metal and plastic balls, goods supposed to be held for the purpose of injuring animals.
Also, several hand-made devices (PVC pipes and nails), mounted on trees, likely to have been used for the same purpose, were identified outside the yard of the building of the person in question”the police announced.
The man is being investigated under judicial control.
