Ukraine will be full of F-16 fighters. They will give back all the machines

Belgium was one of the countries that pledged to donate F-16 fighters to Ukraine, but Kiev is still waiting for this promise to be fulfilled. However, Belgian media report that the local authorities have changed their mind and instead of 30 such fighters, Ukraine will receive over 50 machines.

The current plan is as follows: Ukraine is to receive seven Belgian F-16 fighters this year, five in 2027, fourteen in 2028 and the remaining 29 in 2029. This would mean that all 53 planes of this type that Belgium has will fly to Kievwhich is slowly switching to F-35 fighters – the same ones that will soon debut in the Polish army.

Ukraine's air potential is growing

F-16 fighters quickly became a key element of the Ukrainian Air Force and since their debut in the summer of 2024, these planes have already intercepted over 2,000. Russian drones and missiles, often using risky tactics straight from World War II.

In recent months, however, this aircraft has been used not only for defensive operations, but also to attack Russian positions, and each subsequent construction of this type will significantly strengthen the Ukrainian aviation.

On the other hand, Ukraine is constantly using the capabilities of post-Soviet MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters, which have increased their combat potential thanks to the support of Western missiles and bombs.
