American moved to Brasov, amazed by the prices in Romania: “I can't believe what I bought for $ 45”

An American American player legitimized at the Corona Brașov team, Juwan Gray, spoke Tiktok about the major differences between the costs of life in Romania and the United States. He remained pleasantly surprised after paying 206 lei for more foods.

“Being American and moving in a country like Romania, I certainly have many advantages. I just ordered all these foods to my home for less than $ 50 and I can't believe it,” Gray said in a short video posted on Tiktok.

The athlete from Corona Brașov shows to his followers the ordered foods: six bottles of plain water (2L), fruits (blueberries, strawberries), mushrooms, fresh vegetables (pepper, pumpkin, carrots), milk and chicken. The total price? 206 lei, the equivalent of about $ 45 at the time of filming.

“I think about what life would be like if I returned home to the United States, and I would order food at home, which I would never do, because this chicken pack and the six bottles of water, along with the delivery fee, would probably cost $ 50. And it would have the gut.” noted the player.

Gray emphasized that in the US, daily living became more and more difficult: “At home, in the United States, it has become so expensive and difficult to ensure your basic needs, that is food, shelter and clothing, that it is like you give back.”

At the end, the American sent a message to those who follow him: “If you are thinking of moving to Romania or even in another country in Europe or in the world, inform yourself, document yourself, because you can live well.”

The basketball player has over 20,000 followers on Tiktok, and many of the people who follow him have confirmed the cost differences between the US and Eastern Europe.
