The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a meteorological information and a code yellow warning for several areas in Romania. The weather will deteriorate starting Monday and remain unsettled until Thursday morning.
ANM yellow code, valid on Monday and Tuesday
The yellow code warning is valid on Monday, May 11, from 1 p.m. until Tuesday, May 12, at 2 p.m. They are targeted: Banat, Crișana, Oltenia, Maramureș, Western Transylvania, Western and Northern Muntenia, local-mountain area.
In these areas there will be torrential showers, lightning, gales with gusts of 50-70 km/h and hail. Water quantities will reach 15–25 l/m2 and isolated 30–40 l/m2 within three hours.

The weather advisory is valid from Monday, May 11 at 12:00 to Thursday, May 14 at 10:00. In most of the country there will be moderate showers, lightning and, in limited areas, hail. The amounts of water will be 15–30 l/m2 and isolated more than 40–50 l/m2.
The wind will have local intensifications, with speeds of 45–50 km/h.
Sharp cold on Tuesday and Wednesday
On Tuesday, May 12, temperatures will drop sharply in the west and northwest of the country. Wednesday, May 13, the cooling extends to the rest of the territory. The weather will become colder than normal for the period.
On the night of Wednesday to Thursday (May 13/14), there will be mixed precipitation in the high mountain area.
