A man in the UK is calling for the recall of what he calls “Temu Range Rovers” after his car, bought just two weeks ago, stalled in traffic while he was taking his child to daycare.

Alan Lee, 37, bought a Jaecoo 7 PHEV Luxury worth around €40,000 after seeing many positive reviews about the model, reports the Daily Mail.
A few days after the purchase, he noticed the first strange sign: “The headlights flickered as we took the curves. It seemed strange to me”.
The problem became serious when, on a busy road, the car came to a complete stop just before entering a roundabout.
“I was on a busy road and the car just died, stopped completelyhe said.When I entered the roundabout it stalled and about 20 warnings appeared on the dashboard. Show all possible errors. I could no longer put it in either drive or reverse“.
The man called 911 and the police blocked the traffic lane. The car was later towed and is still in storage.
Call to withdraw the model
After the incident, it is calling for a recall of the model, claiming it is not safe for the road.
“They are a real example of how they don't care about their customers”he stated. “It's a 'Range Rover from Temu'; people need to know what's going on with these cars. I think there needs to be more regulation.”
He recalled that some Jaecoo 7 models have already been recalled before and believes that his should be included: “Clearly, my model and others are not suitable for the road”.
The company's reaction
Jaecoo UK representatives say they are taking the situation seriously and have offered a replacement vehicle, while also stating that the customer is kept informed through the leasing or finance company.
The nickname comes from the comparison with Temu, known for its very cheap products. Although the app sells a wide range of items, cars are not among them.
