University of Craiova and U Cluj, battle for the title! The scenarios in which they can be champions: the next stage is the final!

With two stages left to play in the play-offs, the battle for the title is extremely hot. Universitatea Craiova and U Cluj are separated by only one point (the Oltenians have 46, the Cluj have 45), and in the next round they will meet in a direct match, which means that each team has a chance to win the championship. The people from Craiova and Transylvania will face each other on May 13, in Sibiu, in the final of the Cup, so everyone has a chance for a historic event.

How can the University of Craiova be the champion

Olteni are currently in first place, with 46 points. With a win in the next round match, Filipe Coelho's team would be champions. It would reach 49 points, and U Cluj would have no way to reach it, regardless of the result of the last stage.

If the head-to-head ended in a draw, the one-point gap would hold with one stage to play. Thus, in the last stage, the Oltenians start with the first chance to win the trophy. And they will be champions if they win with Rapid, if they get the same result as U Cluj (who play with Dinamo) and even if they lose, if U Cluj only draws.

With equal points, the University of Craiova has an advantage, because it entered the play-off with a higher score.

If Olten lose the match against U Cluj, then they need help in the last round, because they no longer depend only on them. They have to win their match with Rapid, then hope that U Cluj draws at most with Dinamo. A ranking would be reached in which Olten would have 49 points, and U Cluj would have 48 or 49 points. And the people from Craiova would also emerge as champions.

How can U Cluj be champion in the Super League

And U Cluj is only within her reach to be champion. Thanks to the victory with Rapid and the tie between Craiova and CFR Cluj, Cristiano Bergodi's students no longer need the game of results to get their hands on the big trophy.

With a victory over Craiova in the penultimate stage, they would reach 48 points, one more than their rivals, with one stage left to play. And she would have several scenarios where she can be champion.

• The simplest would be to win with Dinamo, in which case it doesn't matter what Craiova does with Rapid.

• If the Transylvanians draw with Dynamo, Olten must not win with Rapid for the title to go to Cluj.

• If Cristiano Bergodi's team loses in the last stage, then Rapid needs to beat Universitatea Craiova in order for the Transylvanians to be champions.

With a draw in the direct match, the Oltenians remain in first place, with a point lead. And U Cluj is obliged to win against Dinamo and hope that Craiova University draws at most a draw with Rapid. Thus, Transylvania would have 49 points, while Craiova would have 48 or 47 points.
