Money from SAFE support for agriculture? Stefan Krajewski pointed out the opportunities

On Friday, May 8, the Polish government signed an agreement with the European Commission regarding the SAFE program. It will go towards strengthening Polish military potential EUR 43.7 billion (PLN 180 billion) in the form of low-interest loans.
— It is extremely important that this money stays in Poland, in Polish plants, Polish companies and enterprises. Almost 90 percent these funds will go to such companies – emphasized the head of the Ministry of Agriculture on Saturday at a conference in Zbójna (Podlaskie Voivodeship).
Stefan Krajewski pointed out that agricultural machinery manufacturers can also benefit from the SAFE program among others providing spare parts for military production or proposing new solutions useful for defense.

– Today we are securing tomorrow (…) to counteract what is happening – said Krajewski, referring to the international situation – the war in Ukraine and the Middle East.
He emphasized that security is also strengthened by money allocated to programs related to civil protection and civil defense.
— In addition to military security, it is also about strengthening energy security (…) but also food security. Funds are needed for processing, increasing the competitiveness and resilience of Polish farmers and processors, he added.
SAFE is a benefit for the Podlaskie Voivodeship
When asked how money from SAFE could be used in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, Minister Krajewski said that it would help improve the equipment of military units in the region. But he also pointed out that this is an opportunity for producers of agricultural machinery, of which there are plenty in Podlasie.

— These are companies that have the latest technologies, the latest solutions and can prepare components, make spare parts for the equipment that is being built, but also design new solutions. And there are many such companies in the Podlaskie Voivodeship today, said Krajewski. He added that these companies are applying for safety certificates to be allowed to carry out such production.
