In a remote taiga tract, at a rich cassetterite deposit, 18 km from the city of Obluchye, the first batch of semi-finished tin was mined. From that day on, the work history of the first tin mining enterprise in the Amur region began.

May 9, 1966

On the territory adjacent to the Dalselmash plant, a monument to Joseph Bumagin was unveiled, which was a sculptural image of a hero throwing himself at an embrasure.

In 1975, it was replaced by a memorial complex for factory workers who did not return from the war (sculptor E. Makovetsky). But even today, many Birobidzhan residents call this memorial a monument to Joseph Bumagin.
