Do you have an electric bike or are you planning to buy it? Take advantage of the funding from the My Electric Bike program, in which you can get up to PLN 4,500. We explain who has a chance for a subsidy.
The “My electric bike” program is a government initiative to encourage the use of ecological means of transport. According to its assumptions, the state will be able to cover Even half the cost of buying a new two -wheeler. Subsidies are to be available without complicated formalities. They will be granted to the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW).
The program and call for applications have not yet started, but they have ended on their public consultation. We already know Who has a chance to fund and what conditions should be met. We present them below.
How much can you get?
The subsidy will be available for purchase A new one that meets specific requirements of an electric bike, including a cargo bike.
Maximum co -financing It is to be PLN 2,500 for standard electric bikes and PLN 4,500 for cargo bikes or bicycle prams. The subsidy will finance up to 50 percent vehicle values, Which means that the second half of the purchase cost will have to be covered with your own pocket.
Only with an invoice or receipt
The refund will be paid after purchase. To receive it, you will need to present an invoice or receipt and meet several requirements. Importantly, the bike should be marked and registered – This can be done at any police station. On the frame you need to put an engraving in the format of 4 letters and 6 digits and obtain a confirming entry in the register.
The subsidy will be available for two -wheelers that are produced in the European Union by a producer from the European Union. This means that bicycle co -financing, e.g. from China or the United States, is excluded.
Technical criteria to meet
Individual vehicles that you can get subsidies should meet the appropriate technical conditions. We present them below:
Electric bike
- Width up to 0.9 m, powered by the cyclist's muscle strength.
- Equipped with an auxiliary electric drive activated by pedal pressure.
- Voltage up to 48 V, rated continuous power ≤ 250 W.
- Supporting turns off after exceeding the speed of 25 km/h.
Transport electric bike (cargo)
- Width up to 0.9 m, designed for transporting passenger or loads.
- Drive like in a standard electrical bike – pedal power steering.
- Voltage ≤ 48 V, continuous power ≤ 250 W, supporting support to 25 km/h.
Electric bicycle stroller
- Width over 0.9 m, adapted to transport things or passengers.
- The bicycle trolley must have pedal power steering (just like E bike).
- Parameters: voltage ≤ 48 V, continuous power ≤ 250 W, support up to 25 km/h.
In addition, the electric bike should meet the following technical requirements specified in the program:
Compliance with the provisions: the two -wheeler and its equipment meet the requirements of the regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of December 31, 2002 on the technical conditions of vehicles and the scope of their necessary equipment.
- Battery: lithium ion (or similar technology) with a capacity of at least 10 Ah (360 Wh) – mounted in such a way as to prevent easily removal by bystanders.
- Minimum range: at least 50 km on one charge.
- Driving without support: The construction must allow full driving using pedals, the engine supports only when pedaling (without a gas shifter).
- Charging at home: Possibility of charging from a home electrical outlet.
- Additional equipment: The set includes an original charger and a possible adapter.
- No gas shifter: drive activated only by pressure on the pedals, without the possibility of driving on the engine itself.
- Cargo load capacity: For transport bikes (cargo), the minimum load capacity is 60 kg.
What will the program not finance?
Bicycles with a gas grip, older than 24 months from the date of production, do not qualify for funding.
The program also does not include:
- Bicycle leasing – applications cannot be submitted by persons who purchased an electric bike by leasing.
- Co -financing spare parts and additional equipment, which does not enter the standard version of the selected model.
Who has a chance for a subsidy?
Co -financing is intended for adult natural persons who permanently live in Poland. However, they do not have to have Polish citizenship. The company or institutions will not be able to apply for a grant.
When will the recruitment start?
The organizer of the program, i.e. the NFOŚiGW, predicts that The first applications in the program will be available in the third quarter of this year. The preparatory phase is currently underway – the fund refuses the final version of the documentation and the conditions of the program. It is worth monitoring the NFOŚiGW website and checking from when you can submit applications.
Buy and wait for a refund
However – what is important – You can already buy bikes that will include funding. Shopping will be reimbursed from July 4, 2024 to May 30, 2029. As we mentioned, you need to keep a purchase invoice or receipt – they will be the basis for applying for a subsidy.
A total of PLN 50 million was allocated to bicycle co -financing. According to the estimates of the program organizer, this amount It should be enough to support the purchase of over 17,000 vehicles.
